The 633 recommends...

We thought we'd put forward a recommendation each month, just to give everyone an insight into what music influences us and also to turn people onto great music. This could be a record that was released last week or even 1967, whatever year it's from we can assure you it is definitely worth a peek.

First up we have The Coral - Butterfly House.

If you had your head up your arse last year and managed to miss this record then don't waste any more time, down your tools and GET IT NOW!!!

All great albums are those that you can listen to from start to finish without skipping a track and
this is certainly in that category. Produced by John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, Verve), the album mixes tasteful psychedelia with folk and even striking riffs.

The songs are a layer of exquisite harmonies, acoustic guitars and endless hooks. Highlights of the album are Roving Jewel which is absolutely drenched with melody, 1000 Years which evokes images of the 60's San Francisco Summer and Coney Island which brings to mind a haunting trip to the carnival.

If you need more convincing the go to The Coral's website and you can download the title track The Butterfly House for free. Click here: http://zaphod.uk.vvhp.net/reg/reg.pl?id=5048-130429
